The Allied-Gator® Grapple isn’t alone in the world.
An excavator-mounted grapple is a simple implement, and it
would be hard to list every manufacturer that offers one.
But, like every attachment we make, our Grapple stands apart
on its strength, reliability, and ease of service.
From its tips – cast, like our shear body, for superior
wear and impact characteristics – through its “box
design” tines, our Grapple is built to last. The unibody
design, with the tines internally and externally welded up
into the main header plate, is unmatched in the industry.
All shafts are machined from super-strong, cold-rolled steel.
The lifting eye bracket is through-welded to front and back
plates, and the shackle hole is bossed on both sides to prevent
elongation and tear out.
Allied-Gator’s unique union sleeve – the cylindrical
construction that joins our Grapple’s upper and lower
jaws – not only makes installation and removal fast
and easy, but also protects the main pin from shock and shear
loads. The jaws move on externally greasable, rotational bearings
that minimize side play and boss wear. Daily greasing of these
bushings is the only maintenance the Grapple requires with
regular use.
A “Wide Series” Grapple -- with an additional
tine in upper and lower jaws – is available, as is a
wear package of removable steel plates, which protect areas
most susceptible to wear. The Grapple is custom-built for
a wide array of machines and carries a full one-year warranty
for parts and labor. Give us a call for more information.
